To the best of our knowledge Big Crimson is almost identical to Crimson Sweet except it is larger, several days later. The melons are more likely to weigh 30 pounds compared to 22 pounds for Crimson Sweet. Big Crimson is very high yielding and produces a tremendous tonnage of beautiful melons. Small seeds. Big Stripe (Large Seed)

85 days. Big Stripe is a large, oblong stripe averaging up to 30 lbs. The rind has a light green background with darker green stripes. The rind color holds well and is slow to fade. High yield potential. It is larger than Desert Storm or Patriot. Strong vigorous plants providing good cover for fruit. Flesh is red and sweet. Tolerant to Fusarium Wilt. Good shipper. Big Stripe could be very helpful in areas where larger size watermelons are desired.

Carole

A beautiful round to lightly oval shaped fruit with an attractive netting. Sutures are very distinct and they are slightly lobed. In our trials Carole has been a leader in taste. Willhite personnel thought it had the best taste of all in its class. It has a beautiful thick, dark salmon flesh with an excellent texture. Good shipper. Tolerant to Powdery Mildew. Heavy yielder. Because of the qualities of Carole we believe the potential market place is enhanced. Carole is truly a fancy cantaloupe.

Charlene

Details 

80-85 days. Charlene is a blocky Charleston Gray type watermelon with seed the size of Charleston Gray. It has a red sweet flesh. The fruit averages 22-25 lbs. It has a tough rind for excellent shipping qualities and is tolerant to Fusarium wilt. It is very productive and produces high percentage of uniform size and shaped fruit.

Crimson Sweet

85 days. The blocky round melons average about 25 pounds. An attractive melon with a light and dark green striped rind, small dark brown seed and deep red firm fine-textured flesh. This melon fills the need for a round striped melon with good cutting and shipping qualities. Desirable features consist of fewer and smaller seed, sweeter flavor with thin rind. Crimson Sweet is well adapted for long distance shipping.

Cut Master ESL (seedless)

Details 

This hybrid triploid watermelon is very unique in that it has a shiny dark green rind and sometimes with a few distinct character marks on the rind surface. The fruit produces a smoky, waxy film on the surface to help protect it from the sun and is very solid and smooth with a slightly oval shape. The seed pips are small and hardly noticable. In our trials, the fruit have been very uniform, thus a reliable average weight, 18-22 lbs. Our trials also produced good yeilds. Maturity has been set at 80-85 days, depending on location, plant population, planting methods and conditions. Tolerant to Anthracnose and Fusarium Wilt race 0 and 1. Pollinator reqd.

Desert Storm
 
“The melon with the fresher look” 80-85 days. Desert Storm is early, very uniform, high yielding watermelon very similar to Patriot except it has a darker rind color and we believe this color will allow a fresher look. The fruit are medium green with a darker green stripe. The shape is oblong and it has a tough rind making it very suitable for shipping. The flesh is red, crisp and sweet with small mottled brown seed. Average weight 22-25 lbs.

Diablo

Details 

85 days. This remarkable hybrid watermelon has hit the marketplace by storm. The blue film on the rind tends to protect from sunburn (to some degree) The red, crisp, sweet flesh is extremely tasty. The vine is extremely vigorous, making an excellent canopy for itself and for being used as a pollinator. Good tolerance to wilt. Excellent pollinator.
