Peppermint is generally the most wide spread in terms of usage and can grow 18- 24 inches tall. The Peppermint herb plant has small pink, white, or purple flowers at the end of each stem from July to September. It is wonderfully fragrant and provides a cool, fresh scent that is so familiar in the summertime. Regularly pinching off the branch tip will promote bushier leafier growth, increasing available harvest. Great for containers.
Created from a controlled method of pollination in which the pollen of two different species or varieties is crossed by human intervention. Typical F1 varieties are deliberately created to breed a desired trait. Gardeners who use hybrid plant varieties usually purchase new seed every year, however, over several years the seed could eventually be used for open pollination
Perennial plants live for more than two years. They return year after year and continue growing until they reach maturity, which varies by plant but averages three to five years.
